Welcome to the Flock

The cows shorten the grass, and the chickens eat the fly larvae and sanitize the pastures. This is a symbiotic relation.

We have a flock of free range, pasture raised chickens that are key components of our farm. They spend all day outside digging for bugs, roaming the property, and bathing in the sun. They have access to a no soy/no corn/non gmo feed alongside their heaps of veggie scraps. Most begin as baby chicks on the farm and live out their entire life here. Some of our ladies are 8+years old! We cherish their yummy eggs and their compost that has helped build our healthy soil over the years. Eggs are available in the farm stand and in our Homestead Boxes.
